"UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE"
This is the Sons of Liberty clan's Uniform Code of Military Justice. This document is nothing more than the clan core set of rules. To become a clan member you must be familiar with and obey these rules at all times. Questions about further clan operation can be answered by the clan staff. Ignorance is not an excuse for disobeying clan regulations.
1. OBEY OFFICERS
It is required that all officers be obeyed. While it is the individual members who make this clan what it is, it is the officers who run it. To ensure the clan is running efficiently at all times, all members are required to obey any clan officer. Willfully disobeying a lawful order is grounds for removal.
Unlawful orders my be disobeyed, however. An order is unlawful only if it is superceded by an order of higher precedence (ie an order from the Commanding Officer), if it infringes on this documentation, or if it breaks rules established by any competitive ladders the clan may be participating on.
Any order given by the Commanding Officer is always considered lawful, as long as it adheres to the regulations outlined under SLREF08072003-19.
2. TREAT MEMBERS APPROPRIATELY (MEMBER PROTECTION POLICY)
Clan members must remember that they are on the same team, and no team functions efficiently if each clan member is attacking one another. Therefore, it is strictly prohibited for a clan member to speak poorly of another clan member.
If you have a problem with a particular clan member, you will speak to an officer in private. If you are caught publicly speaking in a bad manner of either the clan or one of its members, that is grounds for removal.
3. WEAR TAGS
Tags are only required in-game, but they *are* required in-game. The format for which the SL tag will be worn is: Grade_Callsign-=SL=- (ie Capt_Hawkeye-=SL=-). Tags are not required in IRC or any other chat program, etc.
4. PARTICIPATE REGULARLY
It is the responsibility of each clan member to make the time to come to practices, matches, and clan activities on a rgeular basis, and to notify the staff if you cannot attend something you've been committed to.
5. NO CHEATING
Under no circumstance does the Sons of Liberty clan tolerate any form of cheating. Cheating of any kind is grounds for immediate removal.
